American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic all fly directly from London Heathrow to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Air India, and United Airlines fly to Newark Liberty International Airport.
From Gatwick Airport, it is possible to fly directly to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport with British Airways or Norwegian Air Shuttle. Travellers can also fly British Airways from London City Airport on a direct business class-only flight, with just a brief refuelling stop at Shannon Airport in Ireland.

Heathrow Airport
London Heathrow Airport has four terminals numbered 2 to 5, so it's essential travellers check to see which terminal they need before arriving. London to New York flights leave from Terminals 2, 3, and 5.
Those arriving at Heathrow by plane may need to transfer between Heathrow's terminals. Journey times can take up to 20 minutes. It is possible to walk between Terminals 2 and 3, but travellers must take one of the free trains or buses to get to Terminals 4 and 5.

Newark Liberty International Airport
Newark Liberty International Airport has three terminals: A, B, and C. All three of them have arrivals from London, depending on the airline.

LaGuardia Airport
The other main airport in New York is LaGuardia. There are flights from London to LaGuardia Airport, but none are direct.
