The program is divided into three tiers: silver, gold, and platinum. Benefits range from priority check in and extra baggage at the silver tier, to lounge access, gifts, and upgrades with platinum membership. Status is based on the number of miles and flight segments accrued in each year.

Check In Procedures and Seating Options

Online check in is available for flights with Royal Jordanian from 24 to 4 hours before your scheduled departure. Enter your personal details and flight information into the online page, and an email will be sent to you containing your boarding pass to print at home. If you are travelling with baggage, online check in will speed up your baggage drop process when you arrive at the airport. If you have no luggage, you can bypass the check in counter entirely and proceed straight to security with your printed boarding pass.

If you choose to check in at the airport, you are asked to do so 3 hours before your flight. You can check in at the counter, or at the self-serve check in booths to avoid lines. The boarding gate closes 15 minutes prior to departure.

Tickets are available in two tiers of comfort – economy and crown. Economy seats offer comfortable legroom, while crown tier seats are more spacious and recline into a full bed on most aircrafts. For those flying economy, you can select your seats when you check in online. Seats are assigned to you if you check in at the airport, but can be changed depending upon availability.

Carry On and Checked Baggage Allowance

Royal Jordanian allows you to bring one free piece of carry-on baggage when you purchase an economy ticket, or two with a crown class ticket. In addition to your carry on bag, you are welcome to bring smaller personal items that do not count as pieces of luggage. These include umbrellas, cameras, laptop computers, and crutches. If you are travelling with an infant, you can also bring a collapsible stroller free of charge.

If you are flying to or from North America, an economy ticket with Royal Jordanian includes two pieces of checked luggage weighing up to 23kg each. For those in crown class, two pieces up to 32kg each free with your ticket. Charges for additional and overweight baggage vary depending upon the number and weight of luggage, with prices ranging from $100-$400 USD per item.
