Alaska Airlines flights & tickets

For over 75 years, Alaska Airlines has provided award-winning service on their domestic and international flights. While the airline offers fantastic service to a variety of popular destinations, these are not the only reasons passengers choose them again and again. Explore the airline's fleet and amenities, and discover all that Alaska Airlines has to offer.

Founded in 1932, Alaska Airlines initially operated as McGee Airways. This small-sized airline offered limited flights from Anchorage, Alaska. Today, Alaska Airlines services more than 100 destinations including the Continental United States, Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, and Costa Rica. Many people assume that Alaska Airline's main hub is in Alaska, but the airline's largest fleet is actually located in Seattle International Airport. From Seattle, passengers can fly as far east as Boston, north to Alaska, south to Cancun, and west to Hawaii.

In addition to Seattle, the airline's other major hubs are Los Angeles, Portland, and Anchorage. Anchorage is the main airport for Alaska Airline passengers with travel destinations within the state of Alaska.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Alaska Airlines allows all passengers to carry on one carry-on and one personal item. The carry-on bags may not exceed 24 x 17 x 10 inches including wheels. Passengers who wish to check luggage must pay $25 for the first and second bag, $75 for each additional bag.

There are two in-flight entertainment options for travelers. Alternatively, travelers on longer flights can rent airline-owned tablets that are loaded with premium movies and television shows.
