Cheap Flights from Sudbury Airport

Located 20km from Sudbury's downtown city centre, Sudbury Airport (YSB) is a regional airport serving the Greater Sudbury Area of Ontario. Regular flights are available through Air Canada Express, Porter Airlines, WestJet, and Bearskin Airlines, with a seasonal flight to Punta Cana (via Toronto) offered through Sunwings.

Flight prices are relatively stable throughout the year, but are cheaper when departing on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. That way, you can beat the business travel rush on the weekends! Avoid travelling at peak times like Christmas, Thanksgiving, or Easter if you want to get the best flight deals. To make the process easy, Skyscanner offers a great cheapest month search to help you find the best flights from Sudbury year-round. You can even set up a price alert to keep an eye on your favourite flights!

Getting to Sudbury Airport

Sudbury Airport is located 20km northeast of Sudbury's city centre, on Municipal Road 86 between the communities of Skead and Garson. If you're driving, there are two parking lots to choose from. The main (covered) parking lot is located directly adjacent to the terminal building, and costs $13.75 per day or $68.75 per week for long-term parking. The economy lot is uncovered, and available at a rate of $11.00 per day or $55.00 per week.

If you'd rather take public transit to the airport, Sudbury Transit's route 303 bus is the one you want to take. Once you get on the bus, you'll have to let the driver know that you need a TransCab transfer to the airport. They will arrange for a car to pick you up at the North Star Confectionary on Skead Road to take you to the airport. Taxis are also available through Sudbury Cab company, at a cost of about $45.

Departing from Sudbury Airport

YSB is a clean, modern airport with one terminal, so it's easy to find your way around. Free wi-fi is available to all passengers, and there are many charging stations available so you can be sure your devices won't run out of power. The airport's only restaurant, Clear Sky Bistro, is located on the second floor and offers a great view of the airport's runway.

We recommend arriving at least 1 hour before your flight departs to give yourself enough time to check in, move through security, and find your gate. If you're staying within Canada, all you'll need is at least one form of government-issued photo ID, like a drivers' license. If you want to travel internationally, you'll need to bring your passport instead.
