Wizz Air flights & tickets

For those looking for an inexpensive direct intra-European flight, Wizz Air flights boast 500 direct flights within Central and Eastern Europe. It's the largest low-cost airline that caters to everyone's specific travel needs.

Wizz Air's first flight was in May 2004. However, in the last 10 years, Wizz Air experienced significant growth, and its fleet took on a new cosmopolitan look and feel that enabled it to meet the demands of the mature traveler. To keep costs down, Wizz Air uses secondary airports that serve 38 countries from Europe, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates. Wizz Air also has a bright future: It has added its 28th base in London Luton Airport and has experienced 23-percent passenger growth in the past year.

Why Fly Wizz Air?

How to Check In

Wizz Air continues to keep prices down with several check-in options. Check-in begins two hours before the flight but no later than 40 minutes before departure. Check in free of charge online. Simply print a boarding pass before departure and present it at the gate, or download the mobile app and skip the printed boarding pass. With ticketless travel, there's no need to print a boarding pass; simply show the boarding pass barcode from a mobile devise. Wizz Air prides itself on using innovative technology, therefore reducing its carbon footprint. When checking in at the airport, fees are attached based on the departure city.

Baggage Allowance and Fees

Baggage fees for Wizz Air flights come in two sizes. Putting it in perspective, the fees vary based on the season. In the low season, a 23 kg bag fee ranges from CA$23-$63. That same bag in high season costs between CA$36-$76. When checking a bag at the airport no later than 40 minutes before the flight, you'll pay CA$76 for the same bag. A small cabin bag measuring 42 cm x 32 cm x 25 cm is free of charge, while a large cabin bag measuring 56 cm x 45 cm x 18 cm incurs a fee. Personal items that measure 40 cm x 30 cm x 18 cm are allowed with priority boarding.

Seating

When booking a flight online, choose a seat or let Wizz Air automatically assign one. To find seats with extra leg room, view Wizz Air seat allocation. A fee may apply. The airline's Airbus A320 offers extra leg room in front; the Airbus A321 has extra room in the front and at the exit rows. When purchasing a Privilege Pass or a Wizz Plus Bundle, get a free seat anywhere, even those with extra leg room. Of course, seating is based on availability.

Booking Fees

Booking fees vary. When made through the Call Centre, expect to pay CA$20. The mobile app and online automated system are the fastest and least expensive. Prices are quoted as per passenger per flight.
