How to Check In on PAL Express

Travelers on a PAL Express flight can check in using the Philippine Airlines website. Online check-in opens twenty-four hours before departure and closes one hour before departure. After checking in online, travelers should arrive at the airport no less than one hour before their scheduled domestic departure on PAL Express.

Baggage Allowance and Fees on PAL Express

PAL Express follows the baggage allowance rules of Philippine Airlines. Checked baggage weight limits range from 10 kilograms to 35 kilograms, depending on the fare class selected. Excess baggage is charged at a rate of 200 PHP ($5.25 CAD) per kilogram. Travelers can also bring one piece of carry-on baggage weighing 7 kilograms or less, and two small personal items can also be carried into the main cabin.

Choosing the Best Seats on PAL Express

During the booking process travelers can choose between economy and premium economy seats. The former offer 29” of seat pitch and the latter offer 34”. Within economy class, Choice Economy Seats in exit and bulkhead rows can be reserved for an extra 250 PHP ($6.50 CAD) and Forward Economy Seats close to the front exit can also be reserved for the same price. These seats can be selected during or after booking online.

Booking Fees on PAL Express

PAL Express charges a flat fee of 250 PHP ($6.50 CAD) for all domestic bookings. This includes tickets booked online, by phone or in a Philippine Airlines ticketing office. Booking fees are waived for flights on PAL Express that are booked online as part of an international itinerary. If your flight on PAL Express connects to an international flight on Philippine Airlines, you will be required to pay a federal departure tax. This can be paid online during the booking process if all passengers are legal adults; if any passengers are children or infants then the departure tax must be paid at the airport before departure.
