Arriving in Seattle
Flights from both John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport land at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), which is often just called Sea-Tac. It is located about twenty-five kilometres from downtown Seattle. The airport has a Central Terminal as well as a North Satellite and a South Satellite, and flights from New York City land in all three zones. If you arrive at one of the satellite terminals, hop on the free train to the Central Terminal, where you will be able to claim your luggage.
To reach the city center, popular transportation options include the Central Link train (which departs opposite the Central Terminal), shuttle services (departing from the doors outside Baggage Carousal #1) and rental cars. It takes about forty minutes to travel from the airport to downtown Seattle.
