Why Fly Air Busan

How to Check-in

You can check-in online using your booking number in the "My Booking" section of Air Busan's website. Check-in closes 20 minutes before departure for domestic flights, and 40 minutes before departure for international flights. However, you should try to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before any domestic flight and at least 3 hours before any international flight to give yourself enough time to move through security and make it to your gate. You can also check-in at the airport with your photo ID, the credit card used to book your flight, and any necessary visas.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Passengers are allowed to take one carry-on item for free, as long as it weighs no more than 10kg. Checked baggage limits change depending on your flight:

  • Domestic Flights Within Korea: 1 bag, 15kg maximum
  • Flights to the United States: 2 bags, 23kg maximum for each
  • Other International Flights: 1 bag, 20kg maximum

Any excess baggage will be charged a fee of $2 USD/kg for domestic flights, or $7-50 USD/kg for international flights. Please check Air Busan's baggage page for more information!

Seating can be reserved ahead of time through Air Busan's website. You can also call their reservation hotline or ask for a specific seat at the airport, but there are no guarantees that you'll get the seat you chose. Otherwise, you will be assigned a seat when you check in. It should be noted that in-seat power is not available on Air Busan flights, so be sure to charge all of your devices before you board! Air Busan offers seats in Economy, Economy Premium, and Business class.

Booking Fees

There are no booking fees with Air Busan. However, regular transaction fees still apply.

Service on Board

Air Busan's in-flight services include complimentary meal service, beer and wine for $5 USD (cash only), newspapers, reading glasses and nursing covers upon request, and in-flight duty free shopping. There are also blankets available to buy on international flights for $15 USD. Special meals such as kosher, halal, or vegan are available, but must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance.
