Also known as Bangkok International Airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport sits about 25 km east of downtown Bangkok. It is one of the city's two international airports, with the other being the Don Mueang International Airport, but flights from Krabi land at only the Bangkok International Airport. All travellers use the airport's passenger terminal, which is the fourth-biggest passenger terminal in the world. There are plans for the airport to add a satellite passenger terminal linked to the current terminal via an underground automated people mover. The new terminal should open by early 2019.
