Also known as Bangkok International Airport, Suvarnabhumi Airport sits about 25 km east of downtown Bangkok. It is one of the city's two international airports, with the other being the Don Mueang International Airport, but flights from Krabi land at only the Bangkok International Airport. All travellers use the airport's passenger terminal, which is the fourth-biggest passenger terminal in the world. There are plans for the airport to add a satellite passenger terminal linked to the current terminal via an underground automated people mover. The new terminal should open by early 2019.
After Krabi to Bangkok flights, travellers can choose from several public transportation options. They can take a shuttle bus to the Transport Centre and board a 24-hour public bus. The buses serve several routes, including 549-559 as well as routes 389, 390, and 825. The public taxi stand is on Level 1, and the routes include a 50 Baht (almost CA$2) surcharge and expressway fees.
Another option is the airport rail link, which operates from 6 a.m. until midnight. It offers express service to Makkasan via an interchange with the MRT Blue Line and commuter service to Phaya Thai via an interchange with the MRT Blue Line and BTS Sukhumvit Line. If travellers would rather explore the city on their own, the airport offers car rentals.

Travellers should arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before their flights to Bangkok from Krabi.
