There are three terminals inside Haneda Airport, Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and the smaller International terminal. Nicknamed "Big Bird", Terminal 1 is the largest building on-site. It hosts a sprawling shopping area, business center, rooftop decks for observation, and an open-air café. There's also an impressive, six-story gourmet restaurant! Terminal 2 certainly doesn't disappoint by comparison either. Since Tokyo to Osaka is a domestic flight, you should arrive at the airport at least 60 minutes prior to take off. Most airlines allow travellers to begin the check-in process online, up to 24 hours beforehand. However, you'll still need to drop-off your baggage and get through Japanese security. Before you leave from Terminal 1 or 2, you must present a valid passport to board the plane. Additional photo ID may also be requested.
