Montreal does have one other airport but it is only used for cargo planes.
Unfortunately, there are no direct flight options from Montreal to Milan, but there are many flight routes with just one stop. Depending on the airline, this layover may be in a domestic or an international city. Popular airlines that fly this route include Air Canada (usually stopping in Toronto), Lufthansa (usually stopping in Frankfurt) and British Airways (usually stopping in London or New York).
YUL’s terminal is divided into three different jetties, for domestic, international and U.S. flights. If your layover is international, don’t forget to take a picture of the international jetty’s gorgeous art installation, Veil of Glass. Large, coloured glass triangles hang from the ceiling of the jetty, reflecting light from illuminating spotlights.
