What to Expect When Arriving in London

London Gatwick is 62 kilometres south of London's city centre. The Gatwick Express will get you to town in about 30 minutes. London Heathrow is closer, only 25 kilometres away. Paddington Station is a 15-minute ride via the Heathrow Express Train. At London Gatwick, British Airways and Lufthansa usually arrive at Terminal 3, while at Heathrow it's Terminal 5. London City Airport, on the outskirts of the city and London Stansted, roughly 60 kilometres north, both only have one terminal. Car rental counters, taxis and city bus connections are available at all locations.

Wi-Fi connections are available throughout both airports. Duty Free shops, name-brand stores, restaurants, fast food outlets and sundry stores are plentiful.
