Aegean Airlines flights & tickets

Founded in 1987 in the Greek suburb of Kifisia, Aegean Airlines has grown to become the largest airline in Greece. Not only does the airline serve the most passengers annually, they also offer the most destinations and own the most aircraft.

The airline has hubs in Greece at Athens International Airport (ATH) in Athens and Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) in Thessaloniki. Outside of Greece, Aegean flies to countries like Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. Aegean Airlines does not currently offer any flight destinations in Canada, however they have a codeshare agreement with fellow Star Alliance member Air Canada. Other codeshare airlines include Lufthansa and Scandinavian Airlines.

Why Fly Aegean Airlines

How to Check-in

Aegean Airlines online check-in can be accessed on your computer or on the Aegean mobile app. Online check-in opens 48 hours before flight departure. Your boarding pass can be printed or sent directly to your smart phone as a Mobile Boarding Pass. All Greek airports and most international airports support the Mobile Boarding Pass.

Many airports offer Aegean check-in kiosks. Using this self-serve option, you can quickly check in and print your boarding pass. If your airport does not offer this service, you can check in at a staffed service counter. You will need to be checked in 30-60 minutes before your flight.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

On Aegean Airlines flights, passengers are allowed one piece of carry-on luggage no heavier than 8kgs, plus one personal item such as a handbag or laptop bag. Business class passengers are permitted an additional free item no heavier than 5kgs.

Aegean GoLight economy passengers will need to pay extra for checked baggage. Flex economy passengers are permitted one piece up to 23kgs. Business class passengers can bring two pieces weighing up to 32kgs each. If you require extra baggage allowance, prepaying online is much cheaper than paying at the gate.

Seating

At check-in, Aegean Airlines will assign you to a standard seat. However, you will be able to view the seating plan and choose a different seat if you'd prefer. In economy class, the seats are designed with Recaro thin leather and offer a generous 30" seat pitch. Business class seats have a 33" seat pitch. Aegean Airlines seats are set in a 3-3 configuration; however, in business class the middle seats are always empty, allowing for increased privacy and space.

Booking and Fees

On the Aegean Airlines official website, you will be able to book a flight using credit card or PayPal. Certain countries may also be able to use online debit. Once your flight is purchased, your booking details will be viewable and adjustable from the 'My Bookings' section. The costs for changes or refunds to your ticket will depend on your fare type and flight route.

Miles + Bonus

Aegean's membership program is Miles + Bonus. Members earn miles for flying with Aegean Airlines as well as with their partner airlines. Members can also earn miles for eligible hotel bookings and car rentals. The program consists of three tiers: the Blue tier, the Silver tier and the Gold tier. Gold member rewards include things like extra baggage allowance and access to Aegean Club lounges.
