London's famous Heathrow Airport is the only airport within city limits that offers direct flights to Miami. Located 23 km from Central London, Heathrow Airport is the main airport in London, as well as the world's third busiest. American Airlines, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic all provide non-stop trips between LHR and MIA. These flights depart regularly from Heathrow's Terminal 3.

London Gatwick Airport (LGW)

Situated in West Sussex, this international airport is London's second busiest. Despite being unable to offer non-stop trips to Miami, London Gatwick Airport does have some advantages. Mainly, this airport is far less hectic and crowded than Heathrow, which makes it more appealing to some travellers. Airlines like British Airways and Norwegian Air Shuttle both host direct flights to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, two cities nearby to Miami.

If you'd prefer to take public transportation, Metrorail and Metrobus service are both popular, affordable ways to access city centre. It's $2 USD to take the Orange metro line from MIA into downtown, plus it only takes 15 minutes and transfers onto buses are included. Meanwhile, the Airport Flyer bus runs every 30 minutes from 6AM to 11PM and takes riders towards South Beach.
