Cheap Flights to Angola

Located in Central Africa, Angola is rarely explored by outside visitors. After being ravaged by civil war, its fledgling tourism industry still hasn't taken flight. But if you get a chance to visit this mysterious country, you're sure to be amazing by its natural beauty, delicious cuisine, and Portuguese colonialist architecture.

Angola is served by Quatro de Fevereiro Airport (LAD), its main international airport. However, as of August 2017, the country is also building Angola International Airport, a new facility in Luanda. It's meant to open in late 2017, but an official date hasn't been set. Skyscanner can help you find the cheapest airfare to Angola with our Cheapest Month search tool.

Best Time to Book a Flight to Angola

Unlike Canada, Angola only has two seasons. Between October to April is the rainy season, while a drought season called "Cacimbo" lasts from May until August. Also, different areas of Angola experience slight variations in these seasons. North Angola has heavier rainy periods and a hotter climate, while South Angola is more tropical due to its location beside the Kalahari Desert. Once you're inside the country, prices are also exorbitantly high, which makes it more challenging to afford. However, Angola still has lots of offer travelers--if you know what they're looking for! The republic's natural wonders are plentiful, including Kalandula Falls, which is the second biggest waterfall in Africa.
