Airports in Spain

Spain is a large country with several international and regional airports. Most international flights will depart from Madrid (MAD) or Barcelona (BCN). There are other, smaller airports in Malaga (AGP), Ibiza (IBZ), Alicante (ALC), Valencia (VLC), Palma-de Mallorca (PMI), and Gran Canaria (LPA), but these are mainly used for domestic and regional flights.

Cheap Flights from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD)

MAD is located just outside of Madrid, in the district of Barajas. It is one of the busiest airports in Europe, with 5 terminals and over 50 million passengers each year. It is a hub for Air Europa and Iberia airlines, and offers hundreds of domestic and international flight routes. Long-term parking is available in a lot 5km from the airport for $32/day for the first 4 days, and $24/day for each day after. There is a free shuttle from the parking lot to the airport door every 10 minutes.

MAD is a modern airport with unlimited free wi-fi and a wide variety of shops and restaurants to explore while you wait for your flight. There are also several lounges, many of which offer paid access to economy travelers.

Cheap Flights from Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)

BCN is located 12km from Barcelona's city centre, near El Prat de Llobregat, Viladecans, and Sant Boi. It is also a very busy airport with many international and domestic routes. As a hub for Vueling, and a focus city for many low-cost carriers like Ryanair, Barcelona-El Prat Airport is a great option for travelers on a budget. If you take your car to the airport, you can park it in a long-stay parking lot for $32/day for the first 4 days, and $24/day for each day after that.

BCN has all of the amenities you'd expect from an airport of its size. Free wi-fi is available, as well as charging stations for all of your devices and a number of executive lounges to relax or work in. There are also shops and restaurants in all terminals, so you won't be bored while you wait!
