Cheap Flights to Belize

As the only English-speaking country in Central America, Belize offers a unique blend of cultural experiences that can't be had anywhere else on the planet. Each year, the country sees over 9 million tourists who come to hike thousands of acres of lush forest, dive the turquoise waters off of the more than 400 tropical islands, and explore the mysteries contained in the region's largest concentration of ancient Maya sites.

Most tourists head for Ambergris Caye, an island around the size of Barbados, but Placencia Peninsula is another popular destination in Belize. Located in the south, Placendia is known not just for its stunning beaches, but also for its easy access by road or air. Northern Belize is home to one of the country's largest Maya sites as well as The New River, an ancient waterway once used by the Maya. The Northern Islands are a snorkeler's paradise, where divers can get up close and personal with the largest coral reef in the Northern Hemisphere. Central Coast offers a bit of everything: lush wildlife, ancient Maya monuments, and a diverse culture that blends East Indian, Creole, Mennonite, and Mestizo traditions.

Best Time to Book a Flight to Belize

One of the best things about travelling to Belize is that the weather is always great. With an average temperature of 29 degrees Celsius year round, and with pleasant coastal breezes to keep you cool on even the hottest of days, Belize's climate is almost perfect. Belize does experience a "wet" season, however, which runs from June through December. During these months, parts of the country receive up to 380 centimetres of rain, and heavy storms can occur. Belize's dry season is between February and May; when it rains during these months, it tends to do so in short, mild bursts.
