Cook Islands Airports

There are eight major airports throughout the Cook Islands, but most flights will depart from either Rarotonga Airport (RAR) or Aitutaki Airport (AIT), the two busiest airports in the area. If you are flying internationally, you'll depart from RAR.

Rarotonga Airport is located in the town of Avarua on the largest of the Cook Islands, Rarotonga. Popular routes include Rarotonga to Auckland, Rarotonga to Los Angeles, and Rarotonga to Sydney. To get back to Canada, you'll need to transfer from one of those international airports first.
