It is recommended that passengers arrive at least three hours before their international flight is scheduled to take off. Flights to Venice with Air Canada and Lufthansa depart from Terminal 1 while Air Transat flights depart from Terminal 3. Venice Marco Polo Airport is actually located in Mestre, a land-based city situated about ten kilometers north of Venice.
