Seoul Area Airport Options
There are two main airports in Seoul: Incheon International Airport, an international hub; and Seoul Gimpo International Airport, a domestic hub that handles several short-haul international routes.
Incheon International Airport (ICN) is the largest airport in South Korea and one of the busiest airports in the world. The airport's main passenger terminal is the largest airport terminal in South Korea, housing over 250 check-in desks, 120 departure passport inspection counters, and 44 boarding gates, as well as an abundance of services and facilities for departing passengers.
Seoul Gimpo International Airport (GMP) operates two terminals within a single building -- one for serving domestic flights and the other for handling international flights. In addition to ATMs, food concessions, and retail shops,the three-level terminal building offers a VIP lounge, a baby-changing room, and travel insurance counters. The check-in and ticketing counters area at Seoul Gimpo International Airport is located on Level 3 of the terminal building. The Departures area can be found on Level 3.
Osaka Area Airport Options
There is only one airport in Osaka that handles international flights: Kasai International Airport (KIX). Located approximately 50 kilometres southwest of central Osaka, the airport offers a single terminal that serves all arrivals and departures. The International Arrivals area is located on the first floor, where you'll also find a wealth of services and amenities for arriving travellers, including:

- Information desks
- Retail shops
- Restaurants
- Business and conference facilities
Outside of the International Arrivals exit, you'll find a number of convenient options for travelling to the city centre. Several bus and train services connect Kansas International Airport to Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, and Nara. Other transportation options are taxis, car rentals, and two ferry services that link the airport with Awaji Island.
What to Expect in Osaka: Travel Tips
The main languages spoken in Osaka are Japanese and Osakaben (a local variant of Japanese). Very few people speak English, so it's a good idea to learn a few local phrases ahead of your trip. Dining etiquette is complicated in Japan, so be sure you understand the local customs before you go. Osaka is relatively safe, but pickpockets and purse snatchers aren't uncommon.
