Though Osaka, Japan does not have any airports directly within its borders, there are two airports located nearby: Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Osaka Itami Airport (ITM). The first airport, Kansai Airport, is located on a man-made island in Osaka Bay. The airport is a hub for Peach, a low-cost carrier which flies direct from Osaka to Okinawa Naha. Peach uses KIX's single-story Terminal 2. Four other airlines also fly this route: All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Japan Transocean Air and Jetstar Japan. These airlines all operate out of KIX's Terminal 1.

Outside of arrivals, you will have access to short distance and long distance taxis. You can also call for a limousine bus if you're travelling in a large group. The monorail system has a stop at Naha Airport. It will cost approximately $3 CAD per person to board and stops all around the city. There are also a few different public transport bus stops in the area. There are four companies on site for your car rental needs.

What to Expect in Naha

Osaka and Naha are both within the same time zone, so you will not experience any jet lag. The flight between the two cities is relatively short. The weather in the two cities is also quite similar.
