Cheap Flights to Moldova

Nestled between Romania and Ukraine, you'll find the tiny country of Moldova. This Eastern European nation is an exciting mix of cultures, traditions, and mother tongues. The official language is Romanian, but you'll often hear Russian spoken in the streets. Most tourists travel to Moldova to drink its famous wines, but the country also boasts amazing landscape, great museums, and wonderful restaurants.

Moldova does have two main airports, Chișinău International Airport (KIV) and Bălți International Airport (BZY). As of August 2017, only Chișinău's airport was being used for flights. So, until BZY reopens, you'll most likely be landing at KIV. Skyscanner can help you find the cheapest airfare to Moldova with our Cheapest Month search tool.

When you fly to Moldova, your plane will land at Chișinău International Airport (KIV). KIV is located 13km away from the capital city of Chișinău. This international airport hosts flights from a number of metropolises in Europe and Asia.

When it comes to amenities, KIV has the expected assortment of shops, restaurants, and duty-free stores. But they also have some unusual features! For instance, there's a "bread and salt" service, where a greeter in traditional Moldovan dress meets your plane to perform this ceremonial ritual. Pretty cool, right?

Chișinău International Airport is connected to city center by excellent transportation options. Travellers can choose between boarding the bus, the trolleybus, or the rutieră vans (minibuses) into town. They all have stops outside the airport's Arrivals gate.
