Where to See Fireworks on Canada Day

Ottawa and Parliament Hill

Ottawa is known for hosting the largest Canada Day celebrations in the nation. Canada’s Capital Region hosts the annual monuments’ celebration on Parliament Hill in downtown Ottawa. In addition to the fireworks, there will be a massive street party and aviation flyovers with Canada’s Snowbirds squad.

If you’re in Montreal for Canada Day, head to Montreal’s Old Port, also known as the Vieux-Port. On July 1st, the Old Port provides a beautiful view of fireworks along the St. Lawrence River. There are a number of family-friendly activities available here throughout the day. If you fly to Montreal, you’ll find plenty to see and do.

Vancouver Fireworks at Canada Place

One of the largest Canada Day celebrations is hosted in Vancouver. During the day you can enjoy the street festival and wait for the parade in downtown Vancouver that starts in the evening.

Some of the events held throughout the city include a continuous music concert, street entertainment and a citizenship commencement ceremony. If you fly to Vancouver, then one of the best places to watch the fireworks show at night is Canada Place. Charlottetown Canada Day Fireworks

If you’re a history buff, one of the most appropriate places to enjoy fireworks on Canada Day is in Charlottetown – the birthplace of the Confederation. The town commemorates the event with a bronze statue honouring two Fathers of Confederation, located on Great George Street.

You may have the opportunity to view a fireworks display from aboard one of 40 classic tall ships set to dock at the Charlottetown harbour. If you fly to Charlottetown, you’ll find that a beautiful view of the fireworks can be seen from the waterfront. Don’t miss the cultural festival scheduled to be held along the waterfront as well.

Toronto Fireworks for Canada Day

Toronto will be celebrating Canada Day at multiple locations. The main party will be on Bay street, where you can expect a parade and a majestic fireworks display for the grand finale. The Canada Day fireworks in downtown Toronto begin just after dusk (around 10 pm) Until then, you can enjoy the frenzy of activities available, including spoken word and music performances, a circus and face painting. Apart from the party taking place in the downtown core, there are several other places throughout the greater Toronto area where you can find festivities. Fireworks in Niagara Falls on Canada Day

There is a fireworks display every night in Niagara Falls all summer long. They light up the sky over the falls every evening between June 17th and September 2nd, weather permitting. Canada Day is certainly no exception, and you can expect the show to start at 10 pm at Queen Victoria park. There is entertainment happening all day long on July 1st in Niagara Falls, starting with the Canada day parade at 11 am. If you arrive early enough, you can get in on the free birthday cake, which will be served at noon.
