Just a very cute city that is built in between mountains. Great picturesque locations and I even liked it more than Dubrovnik. Not so many people here, but very busy for accommodation, so make sure you book it in advance. A lot of things you can do here- zip line, rafting, cooking lessons and of course partying.

Once an infamous pirate town, the only crime you're likely to encounter at this seaside resort these days are some of the outfits you see tourists wearing. Presided over by an imposing mountain, which could easily be the body double for Rio's Corcovado or Gibraltar's Rock, Omiš features a charming old town with a range of restaurants from rather tacky places which present their menus as pictures to one or two really good places for fish - the rule of thumb is the further back you walk from the waterfront, and the more you explore off the main thoroughfare, the better the place you'll find. Geographically, it's not a bad base for exploring the region: Split and its ferries onwards to the islands is just 16 miles away, while Dubrovnik is about a 3.5 hour drive away via a very scenic coast road, which at one stage cuts through Bosnia. Also worth exploring is the beautiful Cetina River, the mouth of which effectively divides old and new Omiš.
