Sihanoukville Airport may be Cambodia's third largest, but it is still extremely small by international standards. As with elsewhere in Cambodia, you will be hassled by various drivers, including those offering motorcycles and tuk tuks (small three-wheeled covered vehicles), as soon as you exit the airport. While these drivers are a good way to get around the area, they are also notorious for overcharging. Always negotiate a price beforehand. Alternatively, a better and more hassle-free option may be to see if your hotel has a pickup service.

What to See and Do in Sihanoukville

Beaches are Sihanoukville's main attraction and each beach has its own personality. Ochheuteal Beach (including Serendipity Beach) is the most developed beach in Sihanoukville, with beach huts, restaurants, and plenty of hotels. Otres Beach, on the other hand, is much less crowded and its 4km of unbroken sand is great for sunbathing or a stroll. The Otres Marina, which is also in the area, is a great place to book a cruise or rent kayaks for a trip up the river or to one of the easily accessible islands.
