Arriving at the Airport

Fukuoka Airport consists of two terminals, one for domestic flights and one for international operations. The domestic terminal is split into three buildings and the international terminal is split into four levels. If you fly from within Japan, you will arrive at the domestic terminal's Building 3. There are bus stops and a taxi rank located just outside of arrivals. In Building 2, you will find a subway station which links the airport to downtown Fukuoka, located about 3 km away.

If you fly in from an international location, you will find yourself on the second floor of the building, where you will go through immigration then proceed to the first floor for baggage claim. Bus stops and taxi ranks are available outside of international arrivals. If you'd like to take the subway, a free shuttle bus will connect you to the domestic terminal. If you'd prefer to have your own transportation, both terminals have information booths near arrivals with representatives from six car rental companies.

Fukuoka Airport Facilities

For passenger convenience, Fukuoka Airport offers multiple currency exchange locations in each terminal. There is also free Wi-Fi available. Passengers who are catching a return flight or connecting flight at FUK can choose from a variety of relaxing activities while waiting, like enjoying the affordable massage chairs. There is also a spa available in the domestic terminal.

All passengers can also choose from any of the dozens of shopping and dining options available throughout the terminals. Though most of the restaurants focus on Japanese cuisine, other types of food are also available. Many airlines also have V.I.P. lounge areas for their passengers with perks like express check-in and free snacks.
