Air Canada Express is a mixture of four regional operators that serve areas of Canada and the U.S., including Air Georgian, Exploits Valley Air Services, Jazz Aviation LP and Sky Regional Airlines. Read on for more information on these four carriers, where they fly, and what services are offered.
Where does Air Canada Express fly?
AC Express services only U.S. and Canadian cities and departs from the following cities:
- Calgary
- Montreal
- Toronto
- Vancouver
- Halifax
Note that AC Express flies to only Canadian and U.S. destinations from specific Canadian airports.
Where do I check-in for Air Canada Express?
When flying with AC Express, you will check-in for your flight at the same counter as you would for Air Canada.
If you’re flying within Canada, it’s recommended that you check-in 90 minutes prior to your departure time. If you’re heading to the U.S., you’ll likely require a window of 120 minutes. You can check the latest recommendations directly on Air Canada’s website.
How many seats are on AC Express?
The number of seats on AC Express flights depends on the aircraft that’s being operated. Jazz Aviation’s fleet has seat numbers ranging from 37 to 78, EVAS from 3 to 19, and Sky Regional crafts have 76. While Air Georgian had their fleet listed on their website, they didn’t have seat numbers or floorplans.
Do I get food on Air Canada Express?
Air Canada Express bistro service offers a fairly typical airline menu. They offer a number of snacks on select flights that are an hour and a half long. For flights that are longer than three hours and 15 minutes, they offer heartier food. And breakfast is served on select flights that are over the 3-hour and 15-minute mark and depart before 9 a.m.
