As the largest and busiest airport in California and one of the busiest in the country, Los Angeles International Airport sits on the south-western part of the city near the Pacific Ocean. The airport boasts nine passenger terminals in a horseshoe shape, and all terminals are accessible via shuttle bus. Most of the international flights use the Tom Bradley International Terminal, which is technically Terminal 9. However, American Airlines exclusively uses Terminal 4, American Airlines and Delta Air Lines use Terminal 5, Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines use Terminal 6, and United Airlines uses Terminals 7 and 8.
Shuttle bus G offers a free connection to the LAX station on the Los Angeles Metro Rail Green Line. Passengers can board the bus on the arrival island in front of each terminal. They can also board the Lot C Shuttle, which takes them to the Metro Bus Centre. They can then board a city bus that serves the Los Angeles area. The Lot C Shuttle departs on the Upper Departures Level. Car rentals are available away from the terminals, and courtesy shuttles meet customers on the Lower Arrivals Level island outside of baggage claim.
