Getting the perfect hotel at a great price is something we all strive for. As with all travel, you’re likely to find a good price on a hotel in Pittsburgh if you book far enough in advance, but a lot of hotels also offer great last minute deals in Pittsburgh. When there are beds left to fill, prices are often cut to attract last-minute deal hunters and spontaneous travellers who have the freedom and ability to visit Pittsburgh at the last-minute. You might not get your first choice of hotels in Pittsburgh, but you are likely to get more for your money. We don’t recommend you wait until the last-minute during peak seasons and when there are events taking place in Pittsburgh though, as it is likely that accommodation will fill up early – and you don’t want to be left without a bed!
When visiting Pittsburgh, there is plenty to explore – and finding a hotel near the main attractions will make this even easier. We recommend checking out hotels near PNC Park, Consol Energy Center and Heinz Field, or using our map feature to find hotels near your specific points of interest.
Depending on your budget, length of stay and other factors, you might want to find an apartment or hostel in Pittsburgh instead of a hotel. With the Skyscanner hotel search, you can set your filters by accommodation type to find your perfect match. On the flipside, you might not want to exclude hotels in Pittsburgh altogether – you could get a great deal and enjoy a visit with a little more luxury!
Pittsburgh is an amazing city! There is fantastic food, excellent theater and music, an incredible concentration of art (Mattress Factory, the Warhol Museum, etc.) and science/history (Heinz History Museum, Carnegie Science Center, Carnegie Natural History... in fact most museums have fossils from our collection on display) museums, and spirited sporting venues to visit. We have more bars per capita and more bridges than any other city in the world - plus a very interesting history. Once the steel capital of the world whose iron forged many of the US's skyscrappers, Pittsburgh is now very green and a mecca for medicine and technology. The city is unpretentious and fun, regardless of what floats your boat.
Kelly O's diner has been featured on diners, drive in's and dives and has good food. The other photo is the Heinz History Center. It has a lot of Pittsburgh history inside with pictures and stuff to see.
Where's the summertime atttt yo? while i was in Pittsburgh all i can think about was summer...summer can hurry up now, please & thank you!!! it is extremely cold here during the winter... i was here the month of February...when the weather was below negative...How anyone enjoy this weather is beyond me... city of Pittsburgh! places i iv been while i was in Pittsburgh... -Downtown Pittsburgh Compact and lively...Pittsburgh's downtown offers a big-city ambiance... Restaurants... shops(limited)... busy sidewalks...invigorating architecture...good public transport....and the occasional street fair... along with the riverfront...downtown was a great place to stay while i was here! I live on a busy street.. Window is closed and the sound of the city is putting me to sleep! so happy my hotel was located here! -North side A collection of neighborhoods that comprise nearly a third of the city...they are generically and perhaps unfairly referred to as the North side....Take a stroll in a unique urban park...visit the Andy Warhol Museum and the Mattress Factory Museum....walk towards downtown... just a short distance from downtown! -Shady side If you're looking for weird homemade stuffs and hip restaurants...Shadyside is the place for you....Shadyside is pretty diverse... -The Strip District It's no secret....the Strip might be the best thing about Pittsburgh....A lively produce market by day....a busy club scene at night...a visit to the strip is not to be missed during my stay here...and iv been here multiple times! A short walk from downtown as well... -Mount Washington These are the views remembered when its below zero degrees... Ride up one of the city's historic inclines to go up and return trip is six bucks per person!
