Great last minute find
We ended up booking this place on Air B&B just for one night and wish we had found it soon and stayed longer. The bedroom was excellent and the bathrooms were shared, but I didn't see another guest during my stay so it was no problem. The hosts are lovely- one was a live in employee and then I met the owner in the morning before I left. They allowed us to to leave our luggage before check in and then offered again if I wanted before checking out. The little living room was nice to relax and wifi worked everywhere as they had two (one for upstairs and one down). It's very close to all the buses for the island as well as the Sliema Ferry ports for all the island tours.

Very ugly.
Ugly without air conditioning was agony at night and then very old and so many broken things and better sleep on the street I will never go from fear old motorcycle and toilets ugly and broken I do not wish anyone to stay in that structure

I am leaving the following review as a workawayer/ volunteer at the Traditional Maltese Townhouse.
There is a fine line between doing a volunteer job or being exploited by The owner. In this case Maja was exploiting us : making work more than the hours agreed about, being available 24 hours,on days off I was still expected to work and be on call, there was no breaks. The given basement for the volunteers is unhygienic and I worried for my health . There was no financial compensation. ( be as a form a food etc) I wasn’t satisfied the way she treated her helpers, (I felt like a slave). She was disrespectful in how she behaved and expected us to work basically for free! Wasn’t a fair deal, wasn’t beneficial for anyone to work within those circumstances!

Friendly and in a great Location
The Five Trees will not be for everyone but I really enjoyed my stay there in March 2019. Was given the purple room which was fabulous with high ceilings, shuttered windows and a cosy sofa in front of a decent flat screen TV. The room also had free internet access. The beds were confortable and the shared bathrooms were clean.
The people who run the place are lovely and were there on our arrival to welcome us; they also speak very good English.
There is a roof terrace which is a little run-down but perfectly okay and gets the afternoon sun with views over the rooftops towards Valetta.
The Five Trees is in a great location, just five minutes walk to the Valetta ferry and buses to the airport. The views across to Valetta from the promenade are fabulous!
Would recommend this B&B to those on a budget or wishing to avoid the sterile and characterless hotels on the island

Just the best place to book in Malta
Just best pleace to stay in Malta... Central location in Slima just minutes walk to promenade and restorants. .. Room was very clean.. Staff helpful to give you advice about Malta.. They also provide transver to and from the airport cheaper then to book with other agencies.. Breakfast is fabulous,,,Maltese pastici to try with the special coffee ☕️.Thank you Eddie for making our time in Malta fab.... will recommend to everyone
