Far from "Tranquil" - Misleading Amenities, Poor Cleanliness, and Constant Smoke

I recently stayed at Tranquil Resort in Harihareshwar, and unfortunately, the experience completely missed the mark. Between the lack of basic service, poorly maintained property, and environmental issues, I cannot recommend this place for a relaxing vacation.
Here is a breakdown of the major issues we faced during our stay:
Misleading "Beach Shacks": The shacks are completely misrepresented. They are not actually on the beach; they are located inside the resort property itself, and you cannot even see the beach from them.
Zero Cleanliness: The shacks and the children's play area (including the slides) are absolutely filthy. It genuinely looks like they haven't been wiped down or cleaned in ages. I have uploaded photographs to show exactly what we walked into.
Pitch-Black Property at Night: There is zero lighting in the shack or play areas after dark. It becomes completely pitch-black.
Bizarre Service & Restricted Food: Do not expect basic hospitality here. You cannot get a simple cup of tea or milk in the evening (around 4:30 PM), and until 8:30 AM the next morning. Furthermore, there are no à la carte options available for dinner, leaving you stuck with highly restricted and overpriced tasteless choices.
Constant Smoke Overload: The nearby villagers burn dry waste every other day right near the resort. Instead of enjoying a fresh sea breeze, the property is engulfed in smoke throughout the stay, ruining the atmosphere entirely.
If you are looking for a clean, well-managed property with actual beach vibes, reliable food service, and a place to walk around safely at night, look elsewhere.

Stay Experience in Hotel Tranquil Resort Hariswar

I stayed for Tranquil Beach Resort Harihareswar for two nights (1st & 2nd March 2026, Room: Lay). The location is excellent, and the property is beautiful and tastefully designed. Stay was comfortable.
The restaurant was extremely disappointing. We opted for the CP plan, but the breakfast spread was very very limited. The hotel should not given CP plan to customers with such a limited option. No food items were available in restaurant available other fixed thali during lunch & dinner. For lunch & dinner Only Veg, Fish, and Chicken Thali were available—no snacks, no variety, and they even refused to serve an omelette. With no decent eateries nearby, this was a major inconvenience.
Booking directly with the hotel was frustrating. My direct booking was having some issues while making payment. I called at least 20 times on the number 96577-39567) 01.03.26, and no one answered. No one bothered to reply to my SMS and whatsapp messages. I had to book through a third party travel website to secure my stay. Additionally, the staff refused to accept credit card payment for the restaurant bill, citing policy.
Overall, it’s a good-looking property, but poor management, unprofessional front desk staff, and substandard restaurant service.

Good gateway for friends and family

Tranquill Beach Resort is a well-located property with direct beach access and ample parking, which adds to the overall convenience. The food was very good, and the service stood out—when we realized we would be reaching late in the afternoon, we informed the resort in advance. The team kindly took our food order over the phone and ensured the meals were ready even after regular restaurant hours, which was highly appreciated. The hotel premises are clean, and the staff is polite and courteous. However, certain facilities such as sunbath chairs and the garden area near the beach gate require substantially better maintenance. Overall, it is a good place to stay, especially for its location, service attitude, and food quality.

Zero Accountability & Highly Mismanaged by Mr. Thomas

Our experience at Tranquil Beach Resort, Harihareshwar was far from pleasant. The Manager, Mr. Saviol Thomas, seriously lacks basic hospitality skills and customer service sense. Our one of the Car was damaged by coconut fall, rear glass shattered. Despite assuring us that our 2nd car would be parked safely inside the premises, he never kept his word. Shockingly, the resort can’t even afford to put up a simple safety net over their parking area.
The food was average with barely three items for breakfast, and the only “fruit cut” served was plain banana. The wooden cottages, though spacious, are poorly maintained and clearly neglected.
To add to the frustration, the check-in is 2 PM while check-out is 10 AM, leaving very little time to actually enjoy the stay.
Overall, this resort fails miserably in service, maintenance, and basic guest care. Though the location is peaceful. Definitely not worth the money with not even a basic safe parking and certainly not recommended.
