Old-fashioned style of luxury, love it! The staff was lovely , the reception, the nice young small guy ( the bell boy) always willing to help! Good breakfast . Walking distance from the main attractions.

I got my belongings thrown away, the reception was awful and the rooms were not very clean.

We booked two rooms for 2 nights on 10.08.26. Upon arrival, the concierge offered to bring our luggage from the lobby to the room so we handed it to him and checked in without it. We waited for hour and a half for our suitcases but since they didn't bring them to our room, we just went on a walk with our dirty clothes.
The next day we went to the hall for our wedding and upon returning, we found out that the cleaning personnel had thrown away our shoeboxes which we needed, alongside all the socks that were inside those shoeboxes. Not only that, but they had thrown away my suit bag with the hanger and the bowtie still inside. I'll say it again...IT WAS FOR MY WEDDING. Thank god I had the jacket with me.
Upon checking out, I was moving our luggage to the lobby when that same concierge offered to help. I agreed and pointed him to the room. He took the cart and proceeded to wait for the bigger elevator, while I took the smaller elevator. I reached the room, took the rest of the luggage, went back to the elevators and called the bigger elevator - the one which the concierge was supposed to arrive with and suprise... he was not there. I decided not to wait for him considering the last time it took him more than 90 minutes to do his job, which I did for 3 minutes with no cart.
In the end, he caught up with me and had the audacity to blame me for making him go to our room for nothing. He told me "don't fool me around" or something along these lines.
Now about the cleanliness. The rooms look like someone cleaned them with their eyes closed. There were chunks of dust, hair elastics, some corners looked like they were never cleaned and the shower cabin was even dirtier on the edges. Even the walls were dirty. One of the rooms had coffee stains on the wall.
I hope at least our wedding photoshoot turns out good, because the only people that seem to know how to do their job in this hotel are the interior designer and the builders, because it felt like a cheap motel with a good design.

Disappointed
We arrived at the hotel today, the room was only ready at four and a half instead of three, the floor was not clean and the room was nothing.

I booked and paid great extra for deluxe suite, but I was given a basic room, which was the smallest possible (easy to see in evacuation map). This was a brutal cheat towards me actually. I had my colleagues booking to cheaper rooms separately and got even better rooms. It happened me already last time, so I was not surprised, but petrified and very disappointed again. This time I did not even complain anything for them.
The ATM at hotel was out of order as "they do not fill it" (explanation given by hotel staff).
My polite hope and beg for 1 hour prolonging of my check out up to 1 pm was rejected totally, because of "hotel is full, and it is impossible". They did not even ask for extra payment for 1 hour late check out. It was 3 times announced to be just impossible.
It just happened that I really forgot something in my room and came back to hotel at 1.30pm and was let back with staff to look after my items. I found my item and exactly found out that there was still no cleaning or any new client. It tells all about this hotel. They do not do any single thing for a single client. It is still the shadow of communism over them.
This hotel used to be Sheraton, international level. It is totally different now, totally vertical down. I really do not cannot imagine why anyone would go there if there is e.g. Hilton and InterContinental in same town. The hotel history is amazing and reputation also. It has ruined all by itself now.

EXCELLENT LOCATION - EXECUTIVE SUITE IS GREAT
The location of this Hotel is great. The building is very beautiful. In the very center of everything. Metro station just in front of the Hotel. Vitosha Boulevard only 2 minutes away. With in walking distance from cafes, restaurants, shops etc. Check in was way too slow. Lobby was very beautiful. Our executive suite on the 2nd floor, was huge with great views. Room with double was very big with very comfortable bed and pillows and the doors closed to separate it from the rest of the space. Shower was huge. Slippers and bath robes were available but only for 3 and our reservation was for 4 people. Extra bed was comfortable but sofa which was turned to bed was extremely uncomfortable. We had to ask to the reception to come and clean the room (unacceptable for such a hotel). After returning to the hotel I have noticed that even though the room was cleaned a piece of paper that was from the 1st day in front of the shower was still there. Staff at reception and restaurant very polite, but I can’t say the same for the staff at breakfast area. Breakfast had many many options for every taste. Coffee was terrible and when I tried to order I was said that is available only from the machine. Check out very fast. Overall we had a great time in spite of the minor issues I mentioned above.
