Rhodes International Airport (RHO), also called Diagoras International Airport, is a small regional airport serving the Greek island of Rhodes. It is located just north of the village Paradisi, and about 14km from the capital city, Rodos. With a huge variety of seasonal flights available, as well as year-round flights from Athens, Thessaloniki, and Kastellorizo, RHO sees more than 5 million passengers per year.

The most popular time to visit Rhodes is during the summer months of June through September, when the weather is perfect for sunbathing. However, hotel and flight prices jump dramatically in anticipation of the busy tourist season. Getting to Rhodes International Airport

RHO is a small airport with few regular routes. It is a hub for Olympic Air as well as a focus city for Aegean Airlines, offering year-round domestic flights from Athens, Thessaloniki, and Kastellorizo. You can also find seasonal flights from other European cities through a wide variety of international airlines like British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, and more. Most seasonal flights operate only during the months of May, June, July, and August.

Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from Canada to Rhodes. The easiest way to get there is to book a flight from Toronto (YYZ) or Montreal (YUL) to Athens (ATH), then transfer to get to Rhodes. You can also fly through cities like Vienna (VIE), London (LGW), or Amsterdam (AMS) during the summer months.

Because Greece is a Schengen area country, Canadians do not require a visa for stays of up to 90 days. However, you'll still need to show that your passport is valid for at least 3 months longer than you intend on staying.

Rhodes International Airport Facilities

Rhodes International is a small airport consisting of one terminal with few amenities. Free wi-fi is not available, so we suggest bringing a book or magazine if you plan on waiting in the airport before another flight. There is a cafe, a bar, and a restaurant in the airport, but they are not open 24 hours a day. Duty-free shopping is located in the arrivals area just past security, and there is a magazine/gift shop as well. There are two VIP lounges, one on each floor. Economy passengers can buy a lounge pass for around $40 CAD, but it must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance. Avis, Budget, Herz, and Sixt car rental services all have desks right inside the airport.
