This busy airport has a compelling history that dates back to 1932. It was that year that civil aviation pioneer J. R. D. Tata flew from the Bombay Aerodrome to this location, then known simply as the Drigh Road airstrip. Today, the Jinnah International Airport (KHI), named after the country's founder, handles more domestic and international air traffic than any other airport in the country.
