Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is located 20km southeast of Cape Town City Center. Cape Town's beaches draw international tourists and visitors from around Africa. Cape Town's temperatures are the warmest from December to February, and this is when the beaches are the busiest. The best time to visit the beaches is from late January to April, and they are both less crowded and less windy. It is usually cheapest to fly to Cape Town in February. Cape Town has wonderful hiking from April to June, and the rainy winter months of June to August are a quieter time for the city. Taxis also offer service to the airport, and a trip in to town will take about 20 minutes. Make sure you are using a Touch Down Taxis, the licensed airport transport provider. There are nine car rental companies offering services in front of the Transport Plaza and Central Terminal building. The airport has shops, restaurants and cafés as well as a chapel and prayer room. There are also banks and foreign exchange services. The terminal has a departures level and an arrivals level. There is only one building, and restaurants are on the third level.
