When to Go to Chile

November to February is a busy time in Chile because it is summer. It is a good time to visit Santiago, as many of the residents are on vacation elsewhere, but prices for accommodations are quite high. Book your hotel early if you are visiting during this time. The months of April to August are much quieter in terms of visitor numbers, especially in Patagonia. Some services shut down, but national parks feel much wilder and undisturbed. September begins the warm-up in temperatures and flowers bloom as the spring arrives. The best time to visit is the shoulder seasons of Spring and fall. You will still get pleasant temperatures and few crowds depending on the region. Use Skyscanner's cheapest month tool to find out which month has the lowest fares to Chile.
