Bogotá's located in the northern hemisphere, so temperatures are nowhere near as balmy as other parts of Colombia. The average temperature during the summer months is 19 degrees Celsius. The driest months are usually December through March, and tourism peaks in July and August. But if you are able to plan an August visit, be sure to Carnaval de Bogotá which runs wild in the streets every August 5-6 to promote Colombian culture and diversity.
