Beautiful 365 days per year, the tropical nation of Aruba sits off of Venezuela's coast. Officially, this Caribbean island is governed by The Netherlands. A popular wintertime destination for Canadians, Aruba's claim to fame is its spectacular white sand beaches, ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and surfing. The nation's tourism infrastructure is very well-developed. Here, you'll find plenty of upscale hotels and beachfront resorts, American-style dining, and family-friendly attractions, like water parks, animal sanctuaries, and museums.
Aruba's only international airport is Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), situated on the island's west end. Planning a flight to AUA? Skyscanner can help get you there for less. Best Time to Book a Flight to Aruba
Truth be told, there isn't a bad time to visit Aruba, although rainfall does increase between September and December. The island's high season for tourists lasts from mid-December into April, where the weather is picturesque and warm. It's also possible to rent a car in Aruba, or ride a taxi into the resort area for about $25 US.
What to See and Do in Aruba
As we said above, Aruba's top attractions are its wonderful, sunny beaches. Eagle Beach, Malmok Beach, and Baby Beach are three of the universal favourites. Waterfront activities abound on Aruba. If you grow tired of Aruba's salty waves, check out the other outdoor pursuits, like horseback riding and rock climbing.
