Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is one of American Airlines' major hubs and one of the prime locations served by wallet-friendly Frontier Airlines. Other USA carriers that fly into Philadelphia Airport include Alaska, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit Air and United. International flights arrive on Air Canada, Aer Lingus (from Dublin, Ireland), Icelandair, Lufthansa and Qatar. The airport has seven terminals, with international arrivals heading for Terminals A West and A East. Each terminal has its own TSA Security checkpoints but once you clear one you can walk from one terminal to another without going through another checkpoint, as long as you don't leave the secure area. Arranging rental cars is done through the Ground Transportation Desk in baggage claim in each terminal. Taxis and shuttles are just outside baggage claim. Taxis charge a flat $35.00 CAD for the first person and $1.50 CAD for each additional person for the 18-kilometre trip into town. Another option is the SEPTA Airport Regional Rail Line, which costs $9.00 CAD for the same trip. SEPTA also has transit buses into downtown, at about $3.00 CAD per person one-way. What to See and Do in Philadelphia

• Independence National History Park in the old section of Philadelphia is home to Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed. The Assembly Room, where the Continental Congress appointed George Washington as commander of the Continental Army, has been restored. In the west wing exhibit hall, take a look at original copies of the Declaration and the Constitution. Across from Independence Hall is the Liberty Bell Center, where the huge bell with its signature crack is on display. In 1846 it rang for the last time, on George Washington's birthday, before the crack made it unusable. The first time the bell rang out was when the Declaration of Independence was read to the public, in 1776.
• Philadelphia is also big on museums, such as the hands-on Franklin Institute Science Museum, named for Benjamin Franklin, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The film Rocky used the entry steps of the art museum in parts of the story about Rocky Balboa. There's a statue to mark the spot. You'll also find works from artists such as Cezanne, Picasso, Van Gogh and Matisse. Entire structures from countries around the world, such as a Japanese tea house and a Chinese Palace from the 17th century were brought back to the museum and reassembled on the museum grounds.

With two World Series wins and more than a half-dozen National Pennants, the team is a source of local pride. Home games tend to be packed, but if you can get a ticket you'll enjoy a lively crowd. The team plays at Citizens Bank Park in the south city. Come hungry, you'll want to sample some of the park's signature treats, like the giant Schmitter sandwich, a giant turkey leg at Bull's BBQ and cheesecake at Tony Luke's.
