The airport is located 15km to the north-east of Ahmedabad itself. For travelling into the city centre, taking a taxi or an auto rickshaw (a mini taxi) is recommended. When it comes to catching a connecting flight, travelers should be aware that the international terminal isn't open 24 hours. Often its opening isn't until mid-afternoon.
