What to Expect When Arriving at the Airport

Chiang Mai has a small airport with a domestic terminal and an international terminal.  Passengers can easily walk between the two terminals in minutes.  Similarly, travel to downtown Chiang Mai is easy and fast.  The airport has its own hotel shuttle service which departs every fifteen minutes or so, while reliable metered taxis depart from the north end of the terminal as needed.  Car rental services are available twenty-four hours a day.
