1. Victoria Falls – Zambia & Zimbabwe
Head to the Zambia/Zimbabwe border to find this natural world wonder. Victoria Falls features a drop of over 130 metres that’s just incredible and well worth a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage List and one of the most breathtaking waterfalls on the continent.

2. Kaieteur Waterfalls – Guyana
Picture yourself taking a helicopter ride over the tropical rainforests of central Guyana and you happen upon the amazing Kaieteur Waterfalls. This incredible waterfall you won’t soon forget feeds into the Potaro River in Kaieteur National Park and is almost double the height of Victoria Falls. The Republic of Guyana is a small country located on South America’s northern coastline, making it the only non-island part of the Caribbean.
3. Vernal Falls – Yosemite National Park, California
Yosemite National Park has a lot of waterfalls, but Vernal Falls is just astounding. This waterfall is one of the largest you’ll find anywhere in the world at 97 metres, and you can actually go swimming above it. But we suggest you play it safe and just take some cool photos.

4. Angel Falls – Venezuela
Sitting over 975 metres above sea level, Angel Falls is the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall. Commonly referred to as ‘Salto Angel’, the waterfall is located in the UNESCO Heritage Site Canaima National Park, part of Bolivar State in the Gran Sabana region of eastern Venezuela.
5. Tawang (or Jung) Waterfall – India
Some call it Jung Waterfall. Others know it as Tawang Waterfall. We know it as an amazing sight in the wooded area of Northwest India.
6. Seljalandsfoss – Iceland
Don’t feel bad if you rub your eyes in disbelief when you see Seljalandsfoss for the first time. This waterfall in southern Iceland is surrounded by an amazing landscape that’s seen it be featured on the hit show Game of Thrones.

7. Ruacana Falls – Namibia
In a continent rich in waterfalls, Namibia’s Ruacana Falls effortlessly stands out. The 120-metre high falls rumbles into the Kunene River near the border of Angola and Namibia. It’s also close enough to find a cheap hotel to stay at during your trip to Namibia.
8. Niagara Falls – Canada and U.S.A
Like this one really needs an introduction, right? Millions of visitors drive to this natural wonder, located in both Canada and the United States. The U.S. side lets you get close to the water, but some say the Canadian side has the better view. Maybe it’s time for you to go check that out for yourself. 9. Iguaçu Falls – Argentina & Brazil
Straddling the Argentina-Brazil border is where you’ll find one of nature’s finer creations known as Iguaçu Falls. The inspirational views of this collection of falls have been seen in such film franchises as Indiana Jones and James Bond. While both sides offer great views of this waterfall, the Brazilian side gives visitors a chance to see the water crash below in an awesome display of power.
10. Skogafoss – Iceland
Iceland is home to such spectacular natural beauty that it made this list twice. Skogafoss is 25 metres wide with a 60-metre drop and is pretty magical, consistently producing single or double rainbows to the delight of the tourists that come to visit.
