The essentials: when and how to get to Seychelles
When it comes to visitors from US, UK and Canada, Seychelles doesn't issue visas; instead, it issues free visitors' permits upon arrival, permit documents whose validity can be extended for stays up to a year. To be able to enter the country, you need to be able to prove intent to leave, with a ticket out of Seychelles, and proof of adequate funding to support yourself, calculated at about C$175 a day. If you have questions before setting off from Canada, you'll need to ask the nearest embassy, the High Commission of Seychelles in New York City.
The months of April, May, October and November are the nicest times to be in Seychelles. These are months free of rain, high heat and humidity. Coming in between November and March, however, will help you snag cheaper prices on your trip, and encounter reasonable temperatures. If you're interested, you could come in April for the Carnival of the Seychelles Fishing Tournament; August sees Sea Turtle Fest; and September, the Roundtable Regatta. October has the Festival Creole.

Finding wonderful things to do Seychelles
Seychelles certainly does have regular activities for visitors. The market in Victoria is typically African with colorful shops, for example. Domaine de L'Orangeraie Resort & Spa Restaurant, the Marie-Antoinette Creole restaurant and other engaging entertainment destinations exist.
As great as these activities are, however, they aren't why you're here. Anyone who comes to Seychelles aims for the beautiful beaches.

Seychelles is home to diverse coral life forms.
