What to expect when arriving at the airport
Dusseldorf International is located just 15 km from the city centre and is served by its own S-Bahn (suburban train) station below Terminal C. The trains there will take you to the city centre quickly and cheaply. The airport is served by a second train station that has long-distance trains to other German cities. This long-distance train station is connected to the terminal by the airport's monorail system, the SkyTrain. Taxis are also available and drivers here are generally trustworthy about prices. You can also rent a car, which may be convenient if you plan on travelling outside of the city.
