Halifax International Airport is about 30 to 45 minutes from downtown Halifax depending on traffic. The cheapest way to get into the city is with the Metro X public bus, which operates every 30 minutes during peak periods and every 60 minutes during off-peak times. Other shuttle buses also operate between the airport and downtown Halifax, as well as to destinations further afield. Taxis and limousines also operate between the airport and the city at a flat rate.

You can also rent a car, which may be the most expensive option but will provide the greatest convenience. Car rental agencies are located on the bottom level of the airport.
