The Khartoum International Airport is very dated, and thus is scheduled for replacement in the near future.  The current airport is crowded, chaotic and uncomfortable, so keep a close eye on your bags and any other valuables.  After making your way through immigration and customs you will find yourself in the arrivals hall, which has a currency exchange office and poorly maintained bathrooms.  From here, taxis are the preferred method of transportation into central Khartoum.  Ensure you have a clear map showing your final destination, as most drivers do not speak English.
