What to expect when arriving at the airport
Located just 3 km east of downtown, getting from the airport to Downtown Palm Springs and further afield is extremely easy. Most nearby hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport, often for free. A number of shuttle bus companies also link to Palm Springs and other destinations throughout the Coachella Valley and Inland Empire. Amtrak Thruway also serves the airport with a stop just outside the baggage claim area. Authorized taxis are also available. Keep in mind that Uber and Lyft are not permitted to pick up passengers at the airport. If you want to rent a car, a number of rental agencies are located just outside of baggage claims.
Airport Facilities
Palm Springs has a few convenience shops selling newspapers, magazines, souvenirs, quick food items, and some clothing. There is also a PGA Tour Shop for those who are coming to enjoy Palm Spring's famous golf courses. Cafes are located both before and after security. Most dining options are after security, including an outdoor wine bar featuring California vintage wines. With just one terminal and two concourses, finding your way around is extremely easy and making a connection should only take a few minutes. There is free wifi throughout and three ATMs as well. Be advised, however, that there is no currency exchange in the airport building itself.

Palm Springs is famous as a resort getaway. While a favourite of retirees and featuring plenty of world-class golfing, the area has evolved in recent years to attract younger adventurers.
