If your dream vacation involves aqua water, white sand beaches, and exquisite natural beauty as far as the eye can see, the tropical paradise of Palawan must not be ignored. Arrival at Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS)

The Puerto Princesa International Airport is a small, single terminal airport offering international transport to and from Palawan. It's also the main gateway to the Puerto Princesa Underground River, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Air conditioning and free Wi-Fi help to keep passengers as cool and comfortable as possible, but amenities, shopping, and dining options are minimal.

An $82.9-million expansion project expected to be completed in early 2017 promises to improve the interior for passenger comfort; add a terminal building, cargo terminal, and air navigation system; and extend the runway. Passengers can expect connecting flights into PPS through Philippine Airlines, Air Juan, AirAsia, or Cebu Pacific. Hotels are within walking distance right across the street from the arrival area.
