Arriving at the Airport
BHD consists of one passenger terminal which all airlines and flight routes share. Since the airport is only located about 5 km from the city centre, there are many quick and inexpensive transportation options available. The taxi rank is located directly outside of arrivals and is operated by Value Cabs. A ride to downtown Belfast costs about $15 CAD. If you'd rather have your own transportation, five car rental companies have service counters within the terminal.
Public transportation is another great option. A free shuttle bus service connects passengers from the airport to the nearby Sydenham train station. Translink trains can then connect you to downtown Belfast or to other cities in Northern Ireland. You can request a shuttle bus pickup at the information desk at arrivals. There is also a public transportation bus stop in front of the passenger terminal. During peak hours, there is a bus every 20 minutes for about $4 CAD per ride.
